DIY Burger Braai with Dad – BBQ Basting Sauce
Ingredients
- 150ml Tomato Ketchup
- 60ml Worcestershire Sauce
- 30ml Balsamic Vinegar
- 15ml Soy Sauce
- 100g Selati Brown Sugar
- 5g Salt
- 5g Smoked Paprika
- 4 Garlic Cloves crushed
Method
- Combine all the ingredients in a small saucepan and set over medium-high heat.
- Bring to a simmer and allow to cook for 5-7 minutes or until the sugar has dissolved.
- Boiling or reducing the sauce will create the salt to increase but a little touch of Selati Sugar and splash of Water will assist you instantly.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning, if necessary, then remove from the heat and allow to cool before using.
- The Basting can be used before grilling for a good caramelised flavour and a small brush after for moisture or saucy content to your meat.
